A photograph I like
When I was a kid, I was raised by my grandma and my mother in Colina (Santiago). Yayita was a pretty old lady with blue eyes and a big smile across her face full of wrinkles. She was very funny and she loved to cook, to weave and to look after her plants and trees. I had to walk everyday about 40 minutes from school to home so I could check her and to have some tea.
When I was in my last year of school, we didn't have to stay after lunch so we could leave by 1.00 p.m., so one day (September, 2018) I was just getting to my house gate when I saw her sitting in a bank in the porch looking to the garden. I went to give her a hug and a kiss, and then I noticed that just in front of the bank there was an old drying rack with some cloths on it, and I tried to adjust my phone over the rack and set the timer.
I sat in the bank and called Jacinto (dog), Bubulina (cat) was already sat in the bank before i got home and repeated the process maybe 3 times so I could get at least one picture because Jacinto didn't stay still.
They were all I had in those years. Bubulina passed away in march of 2020 and my grandma passed away too, two months later. I really mis her presence, her hugs and her smell, and these pictures vanish that sadness sometimes.
Beautiful photos, it shows the love and the beauty of the moment :)
