My future job

In my ideal future I’m sure that any job related to sound or music would make me happy, I really love this area so it's hard to imagine myself doing something else.

Since I was 14 years old I've been through many jobs and with all due respect to the people I've worked with and to the people who does this kind of work,  I'm not sure if I'd like in the future being buried alive inside an office or  in a customer service, being exploited and working extra hours every day 5 days a week every year for the next 40 years of my life. I believe that's the reason why my mother always told me to study a career that would never make me worry about that.

I just finished my second year of sound engineering (although I delayed one year in 2020) at college but I feel like I'm just starting to learn what's really the useful knowledge of the career, even though I think they teach you a lot of stuff because it offers you a truly wide area of jobs, investigations and creation opportunities. 

So far I set up my home studio 10 months ago and I've been learning and working a little bit about music production since then, and I'm pretty excited about it. for now it's not a stable work and I can't charge much since I just started, but I can work from my house and I'm happy with learning and getting better.

I wouldn't mind working indoors or outdoors if I lived in the south, or anywhere out of the city, I'm not really interested in making money just the enough amount to feed my family, build a house and buy instruments (necessary), but other than that I don't see a reason why I should worry about my salary. 

As a I said, I think I could settle with any job related to the sound or music world and live a happy life but I'm pretty sure I couldn't be happier if I can make a living out of my own music. I always dreamt of being a musician and writing my own songs and the last two years I've been studying a lot of guitar and music theory and also writing my own songs so I can hopefully one day fulfill my dream,  and who knows, maybe walking around the globe traveling with my songs.
